Partner and Grant Specialist

Part-time or Contract (Negotiable)

Job Purpose

This position aims to research, write, and coordinate grant acquisition processes to build and operate
WeBuild Concord and partner in affordable and equitable housing ventures.

Functions and Percentage of Time Spent

Research, Identify, and Write Grant Opportunities and Partnerships (80%)

  • Research and identify potential private foundations, corporations, or government resources to fund WeBuild Concord and partners with affordable housing developments and operations. Potential funding sources and partners should have a philanthropic mission aligned with our mission and values.
  • Write grants and correspondence with the assistance of the CEO to potential funding or resource partners that align with WeBuild Concord’s principles and activities.
  • Aid in aligning resources with the overall WeBuild Concord strategic plan and budget.

Administrative Support and Compliance (15%)

  • Ensure that the compliance standards of the partner align with WeBuild Concord’s mission and capacity.
  • Track reporting requirements and provide reminders for compliance with WeBuild Finance and Construction.
  • Provide a quarterly Partner and Development report to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Other and Advocacy (15%)

  • Aid in identifying potential collaborations with cross-sector partners that will lead to resource development for our area.
  • Aid in identifying advocacy initiatives related to affordable housing that may attract greater resource development.

Job Specifications and Qualifications

Essential

Knowledge:

  • A proven understanding and knowledge of development functions and principles
  • Existing knowledge of funding resources for affordable housing or related sectors
  • An understanding of general public and private funding criteria
  • Project management principles

Skills:

  • Operating a computer and applicable software applications
  • Reading and interpreting funding criteria
  • The ability to write and uses data and other evidence in grant writing and communications
  • Proven marketing abilities and principles
  • Project management
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or diploma from a college, technical, or business school, with at least three (3) years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the job’s essential duties successfully.

Licensing and Certifications:

  • NA

Preferred (not required)

  • Certified Fundraising Professional Executive (CFRE)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Partner and Development Coordinator

Part-time or Contract (Negotiable)

Job Purpose

This position aims to coordinate the development of private, public, and social funding, partnerships, and alliances for the WeBuild Concord mission and affordable housing development.

Functions and Percentage of Time Spent

Research, Identify, and Coordinate Partnership Opportunities (70%)

  • Aid the CEO in developing a partnership and development plan for private, public, and social funding.
  • Research and identify potential private foundations, corporations, or government resources to fund WeBuild Concord’s affordable housing developments and operations. Potential partners should have a philanthropic mission aligned with our mission and values.
  • Write grants and correspondence with the assistance of the CEO to potential funding or resource partners that align with WeBuild Concord’s principles and activities.
  • Aid in aligning resources with the overall WeBuild Concord strategic plan and budget.
