WeBuild Concord Becomes One of the Largest Down Payment Assistance Providers Per Household
WeBuild Concord Homes and Down Payment Program Highlighted at Prequalification Event with Prosperity Unlimited and Partners
Concord, NC – On April 20, 2024, between 8:30 am and 2 pm, Prosperity Unlimited, Cabarrus County, City of Concord, City of Kannapolis, and WeBuild Concord will sponsor and host a prequalification event for down payment assistance and ownership for residents. Lending sponsors include Bank of America, Fifth-Third Bank, First Citizen Bank, Self-Help Credit Union, SouthState Bank, Truist Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank. Counseling partner Prosperity Unlimited will allow residents to preregister and upload documents before the event. Those who complete their registration by April 15 may prequalified for down payment assistance before arriving at the seminar. The seminar will also feature seven (7) new homes from WeBuild Concord.
WeBuild Concord Provides One of the Largest Per Household Down Payment Assistance in the Region
WeBuild Concord has become one of the Charlotte Metro’s fastest-growing nonprofit affordable and attainable housing developers. Just as important, the organization has become the second-largest provider of down payment assistance per household in Cabarrus County outside of the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA). The organization is one of a few affordable developers with an in-house down payment assistance program.
“On average, we provide $30,000 in down payment assistance for our homebuyers, which makes us one of the largest per-household providers in the state,” says Dr. Patrick Graham, WeBuild Concord CEO. “With the incredible work of Prosperity Unlimited as our counseling provider, their relationship with the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA), and other partners like the City of Concord, Cabarrus County, and City of Kannapolis, we can put together down payment assistance packages that may exceed $100,000.” The collaboration between WeBuild Concord, Prosperity Unlimited, and its partners is expanding.
A Prequalification Event on April 20 and Available Homes
Prosperity Unlimited will lead a prequalification event for potential homebuyers and those seeking down payment assistance. The event will occur on April 20 from 8:30 am to 2 pm at Bethel Enrichment Center, 2474 Dale Earnhardt Boulevard, Kannapolis, NC 28083. If you complete registration and document submittal by April 15, you may receive pre-approved down payment assistance and loans by April 20.
